As all of you who have been members of Cople Sports and Social Club for many years know, January is traditionally the time of year when we ask you to cough up your hard earned cash and renew your membership, which is perhaps not the best time of year having put Christmas just behind you.
Well, we have decided to change the membership year to run from the 1st April until 31st of March, which means as an early Christmas present, we are giving you three months free membership. Anyone renewing from now will have their membership until March 31st 2025.
In addition, after careful consideration and much debate, we are keeping the fee the same, at £10 for a couple (plus children under 18) and £7 for an individual.
A formal reminder will be sent out in March, but this is just to let you know why we will not be sending out the reminder in January.
COPLE SPORTS & SOCIAL CLUB
WELCOME TO COPLE SPORTS & SOCIAL CLUB
The perfect place to relax, watch live sports and spend time with friends and family!
Where are we?
Cople Sports and Social Club can be found on Grange Lane, Cople, as you enter the village from Cardington on the right hand side, set back behind the hedge on the edge of the village playing field.
There is a large car park in front of the clubhouse.
What is it?
The Sports and Social Club is a members club, it is run by members for the benefit of members, although non-members are very welcome if they wish to come and have a drink etc before applying to join.
We run various social events to raise money for the running of the club, details of what is planned for the rest of the year can be found here.
Children are welcome at the club, we always try to include them in our social events, so that parents can relax and enjoy a drink and a chat with friends.
What facilities do we have?
The club has it's own well stocked bar, staffed by volunteers, which is open at the following times and days
Friday evenings - 6.30pm 'till late
However. these times and days can change so please look at the Events Page for more information
There is a seating area in the bar along with a patio where you can sit and either watch the cricket or watch the world go by on sunny summer evenings. Inside the clubhouse there is a pool table for the use of members.
In addition to this the clubhouse houses the changing rooms for the use of the various cricket and football teams that use the playing field.
We have Sky Sports installed in the clubhouse and various sporting fixtures are shown throughout the year on the televisions - details of what's being shown are sent out to members on a weekly basis.
Many of the social functions we run are held in conjunction with Cople Cricket Club.
